No Buy Month- Free Entertainment

A no buy month sounds great and like we are going to be saving big bucks and putting a lot of money toward debts. We decided to give ourselves a strict $50 weekly grocery budget, but I think I am going to have to put a few bucks toward popcorn.

I came up with a list of 20 things I would do during my no-buy month to save money & pass the time!
  1. Movie marathon (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and X-men)
  2. Grilling/BBQ- Chicken, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and dinner on the back porch
  3. Visit the public library & check out some movies or books
  4. Go to a football game at my school, where I teach (entry is free for staff and their family)
  5. Game night with our family/friends
  6. Video Game night with family/friends
  7. Play with makeup & try some new looks!
  8. Watch YouTube videos or browse Pintrest
  9. Cocktail night, at home (use up some of our alcohol)
  10. Grocery shopping date (hit up all of the sales)
  11. Journaling/blogging
  12. Spend the entire day reading
  13. Bake some cookies or a cake (something fall inspired)
  14. Update my recipe book
  15. Plan out new meals to try out cooking for the week (with what I have in our pantry)
  16. Do a puzzle (we have several)
  17. Self-spa day (soak feet, do my nails, face mask)
  18. Listen to my vinyl records & sip a drink
  19. Take a drive & blast the radio
  20. We have several DIY/Home Decor projects that we had started and never finished
    • Gallery wall
    • wall art in the living room & kitchen
    • Redoing my mirror (removing stencil/painting)
    • Reorganizing our office
    • Bedroom wall decor
    • Declutter (extra bedroom, shoes, closet, office, kitchen etc.)
